Nahanni National Park Reserve

Highly recommended
A wild, remote and staggeringly beautiful place in the southwest corner of the Territories, Nahanni National Park Reserve, a Unesco heritage site, extending over 30,000km²/18,600mi², to the southwest of the Territory. It encompasses South Nahanni River, which flows through the Selwyn, Mackenzie and Franklin mountains before joining up with the Liard River, a tributary of the mighty Mackenzie. You will not find any tourist facilities, but those willing to make the effort, will be rewarded by one of the world's great natural wonders.
