Annapolis Tidal Power Generating Station

Interesting
North America's first tidal power project, this station uses a low-head, straight-flow turbine generator to harness the enormous energy of the Bay of Fundy tides to produce electricity. The exhibit area upstairs in the visitor centre explains the project and its construction through models, photographs and a video presentation. A causeway over the dam affords views of tidal activity and of the generating station.
