Canadian Museum of Nature

Recommended
Compelling exhibits on the creation of oceans and continents, particularly North America, and an outstanding display on dinosaurs, with several complete reconstructions of skeletons, await visitors. An interesting Birds in Canada gallery features lifelike dioramas from all regions of the country. Note in particular the "flying" Canada geese, complete with sound effects. Also noteworthy are films and dioramas of Canadian mammals, such as the musk-ox of Northwest and Nunavut territories, the pronghorn of Saskatchewan, British Columbia's grizzly bear and the moose of New Brunswick. Children, especially, will enjoy the Animalium exhibit, complete with cockroaches, slugs, spiders and snakes.
