Midland The Essential
Interesting
Once a centre of shipbuilding, lumbering and shipping, Midland now thrives on tourism, light industry and the service sector. This busy town on Georgian Bay is known for its numerous historical attractions—and its many summer cottages and resorts. Located on Midland Bay, on the west side of Severn Sound, the town is well-served by its deep harbour. Following the waterfront, the Rotary Waterfront Trail is bordered by several public pars as well as the town dock, from which lake cruises depart.
