Nicolet The Essential
Nicolet is one of the villages founded by the Acadians in Quebec following the deportation of French settlers from Acadia by the British army in 1755. It is home to a surprising Museum of Religions and lies just a few miles from the Odanak First Nations reserve and its Abenakis Museum. All the more reason to stop and spend some time here.
