Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church

Interesting
The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., was pastor here in 1955, when he and other civil rights leaders launched the 381-day Montgomery bus boycott in support of Rosa Parks' heroic refusal to yield her seat to a white man. The 1889 brick church features a basement mural chronicling the civil rights movement.
