University of Colorado

Interesting
Two hundred buildings spread over this 786-acre campus. Old Main (1877), the university's first structure, is a turreted brick Victorian, but most buildings are pink sandstone with red-tile roofs-the legacy of Charles Klauder's 1917 plan inspired by the hill towns of Tuscany. Visitors are welcome at the University of Colorado Museum of Natural History and Fiske Planetarium & Observatory.
