St John's Church

Occupying a prominent corner of Lafayette Square since 1815, this elegant structure is one of the most historic and prestigious churches in Washington. It enjoys the sobriquet "the church of Presidents," because every chief executive since the church's inception has worshiped here at some time while in office.
