Mel Fisher Maritime Museum

Exhibits here recount the story of treasure-hunter Mel Fisher's 16-year search for the 1622 wreck of the Spanish galleon Nuestra Señora de Atocha. A video details the 1985 discovery of the Atocha and its mother lode-valued at more than $400 million-while displays on the first floor highlight the fabulous gold, silver, gems and other artifacts recovered from the dive site.
