Collins Park

Bequeathed to the city in 1920 by property developer John Collins, Collins Park is flanked by Modernist hotels dating from the 1930s. The futuristic tower fin on Plymouth Hotel, designed by Anton Skislewicz in 1940, characterizes designs inspired by the space-age pylon showcased at the 1939 World's Fair. The Bass Museum of Art stands in the heart of the park and contains the collections of entrepreneur and philanthropist John Bass.
