Micanopy The Essential
An antiqus center with a sleepy, unspoiled air, this tiny village was founded in 1821 as the first permanent white settlement in what is now Alachua County. Enormous live oaks shade the main street, Cholokka Boulevard; shops, housed in early 20C commercial buildings, overflow with vintage china, collectibles, clothing and books.
