Meadow Brook Hall

This 110-room, 80,000sq ft Tudor Revival-style monolith, located on the east campus of Oakland University, was completed in 1929 for Matilda Dodge, widow of automotive giant John Dodge, and her second husband, Alfred G. Wilson. Inspired by English country manors, it boasts 24 fireplaces, exquisite architectural detailing and original family furnishings. On the grounds stands Knole Cottage, a playhouse for Matilda's daughter.
