New-York Botanical Garden

Recommended
One of the largest and oldest gardens in the US, this glorious green space displays a wonderful array of plants and blooms, and conducts important botanical research. There are more than fifty gardens to explore here, from lovely perennial and herb plots to rock gardens and forests, and a beautiful Victorian glass conservatory. In season (spring and fall) don't miss the Peggy Rockefeller Rose Gardens; your eyes (and your nose) will thank you.
