Sagamore Hill National Historic Site

Interesting
Located east of Oyster Bay village on Cove Neck Rd., this gracious mansion (1885) was the home of Theodore Roosevelt, 26th President of the United States, from 1885 until his death in 1919. The Victorian house was used as a summer residence during Roosevelt's term of office (1902-1909), and most of its furniture dates from that period. After the guided tour, pay a visit to the Old Orchard Museum in the grounds.
