Grand Gaube
The Essential
The road from Cap Malheureux to Grand Gaube goes past vast stretches of cane fields dotted with lava mounds. Off in the distance you can see the soon familiar outlines of Le Pouce and Pieter Both, while back on the coast there is a view of the neighbouring islands. Grand Gaube, famous for its dugouts made of jackfruit wood, blends the charms of an authentic Creole fishing village and the pleasures of a quiet seaside resort.
