Quatre Bornes
The Essential
Interesting
Quatre Bornes is at the halfway point on the road between the east and west coasts of Mahé. This charming village is the southernmost on Mahé Island, offering fine views of the Indian Ocean. The village is dotted with brightly coloured houses shaded by hibiscus plants and banana trees, and has a pleasantly tranquil atmosphere. From here, you can take Grand Police Bay Road, which leads to the southern tip of the island and Anse Intendance, or you can head for Anse Tamataka.
