Kirstenbosch Gardens

Recommended
Kirstenbosch Gardens is located on the former estate of Cecil John Rhodes, on the eastern slope ofTable Mountain . The greater part of the 528 ha estate is occupied by a park where the plants grow in the wild, while some 36 ha have been reserved as a conservatory for growing species from southern Africa. These well-designed botanical gardens attract many visitors who come to marvel at the play of colours during the multiple flowering times, which reach their peak in early summer (late August-late October).
