The main focus of any visit to Dali is its old town, which bustles with constant activity, and where foreign visitors relax happily on the terraces of local cafés and restaurants. Dali is also worth a visit for its many festivals and its delightful location near the huge Lake Erhai. Admire the lake from the Three Pagodas, then take a boat trip to the pretty Bai village of Wase, where a market is held every five days.
