Very popular with tourists, the village of Ke'te Kesu is a little too much like a museum, but it remains one of the finest groups of traditional houses (tongkonan) and rice barns in the country. The path starting behind the houses leads to a steep slope where a group of colourful tau tau (effigies of the dead) is preserved in the shadow of a cave, in front of which there hang old erong, long-forgotten little wooden coffins.
