Kurobe River Electric Memorial Museum

This museum acquaints you with the geological and historical perspective of the Kurobe River. After taking its source in the Japanese Alps, the river flows for 86km/53mi into the Sea of Japan. Its strong current led to the building of 4 dams a century ago (including that of Kurobe, one of the largest in Japan) and no less than 12 hydroelectric power plants. 3D films, models and animations depict and explain this environment and chart the history of the building of the dams.
