Colombo National Museum

Interesting
The national museum of Colombo, inaugurated in 1877 in an elegant, purpose-built, colonial edifice, showcases the country's cultural heritage through lovely collections spanning different historic periods. A large part of the building is closed to the public for an unspecified duration. During the restoration work, it is nonetheless possible to admire ritual masks.
