Pac Bo
The Essential
A small museum in Pac Bo traces the events linked to Ho Chi Minh's visit to the town. The leader's retreat, Pac Bo cave, situated at the foot of Cac Mac (Karl Marx) mountain alongside the Le Nin (Lenin) river, is open to the public. A visit to the cave where Uncle Ho spent four years of his life and from where he founded the Viet Minh is an important pilgrimage for the Vietnamese. For foreign visitors, it offers an opportunity to explore the pretty countryside of the Cao Bang plain.
