Long Bien Bridge

Recommended
Built between 1897 and 1902, the metal structure of Long Bien Bridge (formerly Paul Doumer Bridge) spans the Red River, of which it was for many years the sole crossing point. Currently flanked by Chuong Duong Bridge, 650m/2,132ft downstream, which links Hanoi to Gia Lam, it is now only used by trains, bicycles and pedestrians. The city's most fascinating market (Cho Long Bien) takes place under the bridge.
