Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego
Tierra del Fuego National Park, to the southwest, boasts 2 000ha (out of the 69 000ha it occupies) of preserved nature. Its landscapes are home to thick forests, indigenous Yamana sites and numerous hiking trails, such as the Senda Costera, a lovely walk along the coastal façade of the Beagle Channel, the Senda Pampa Alta, and the Senda al Cerro Guanaco. Among the fauna populating the park, rabbits, otters, red foxes and numerous birds can frequently be spotted. A boat trip on the lake is a must.
