Pamplona's indoor market was built in 1920 at the southeastern corner of the Parque Águeda Gallardo. Created on the site of a former Jesuit school founded in 1622, it is a place that is replete with history. Francisco Soto Montes de Oca called a meeting there on 31 July 1810, during which he told his audience of the revolution of 20 July in Bogotá.
