Guanabacoa Hitory Museum

Interesting
This excellent museum in Guanabacoa focuses on the subject of the santería, a religion blending African ritual with Catholicism, its deities and liturgy. Here visitors can learn to recognise the main figures in this religion through the colours and attributes associated with them. Also on display are the batá drums used during ceremonies, as well as a reconstructed altar. The town's history since colonisation is also explored here.
