Coyoacán

Interesting
A base camp for Cortés after the Conquest, this former colonial village east of San Ángel is now part of greater Mexico City. This district makes for a pleasant stroll, especially around the Jardín Centenario, which is the hub of the Coyoacán quarter along with the adjacent Plaza Hidalgo. The district takes on a lively, family-friendly yet alternative feel at weekends.
