The Essential
A smart town founded in the 16C, Jerez has retained the feel of an Andalusian city with its wrought-iron balconies and sunny patios. In Calle Aquiles Serdán, note the Moorish style of the Edificio de la Torre and the Teatro Hinojosa (1878), the most interesting building in town. Church features of note include the neo-Classical sanctuary of la Soledad and the Baroque façade of the Inmaculada Concepción.
