Machu Picchu Museum - Casa Concha

Interesting
Named after its former owner, the 1814 governor of Cusco, Casa Concha reopened its doors after restoration in 2011, a full 100 years after Hiram Bingham discovered the site of Machu Picchu. This superb colonial residence houses a remarkable exhibition showcasing relics excavated from the city. There is much to admire: both the beauty of the artefacts on display (chosen out of the 47 000 that were discovered) and the educational and scientific explanations alongside them (in English).
