Pachacamac

Recommended
The ruins of what was one of the most prestigious sanctuaries of pre-Columbian Peru stand at the mouth of the fertile Río Lurín valley, between the coast and the southern Panamerican Highway. Dedicated toPachacamac , the God who created the world, and more specifically to his oracles, this distinguished pilgrimage centre was respected by the Incas, who built a temple devoted to the Sun next to the first. The Spanish destroyed both edifices.
