House of Alijn

Interesting
The House of Alijn is housed in the Alijn children's hospital (1363), Ghent's only almshouse. The museum illustrates the folk arts and traditions of Flanders, most notably through reconstructed shops, interiors and craftsmen's workshops from the 1900s. The superb interior garden, a real oasis of calm in the city centre, is a nice place to stop for a rest. The museum also presents a puppet theatre with traditional figures.
