The statue of the Virgin Mary stands in the garden under the hawthorn where the visions took place. The stones on which the children knelt have been preserved. Further on is the St John Crypt. The monumental chapel's stained-glass windows date from 1963-1964. The esplanade and its tiers of seats are overlooked by the glass façade of the concrete complex built by R Bastin (1968). It includes the great crypt and upper church.
