Located at the confluence of the Sambre and the Meuse, surrounded by rivers and hills, the political capital of Wallonia has a compact and lively historical centre. All brick, blue stone and slate, it offers opportunities for pleasant strolls, thanks to its pedestrian streets, churches, museums and countless shops and restaurants. Namur is also about its picturesque square, the Place du Marché-aux-Légumes and its broad programme of cultural events.
