Ferme du Caillou - Napoleon's Last Headquarters

Le Caillou farm was Napoleon's last headquarters on the eve of battle. The Emperor's bedroom still contains one of his camp beds and other mementoes. The other rooms display the autographs of French generals involved in the 1815 campaign, maps, a bronze death mask of Napoleon on St Helena and battlefield relics. In the garden, note the balcony from the Hôtel des Colonnes, where Victor Hugo stayed in 1861. A new scenography was inaugurated in 2015.
