A new town founded in the 1970s, Louvain-la-Neuve revolves around the French-language Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL). Built on the Lauzelles plateau, the city is organised around a huge, entirely pedestrian, central precinct. You will see several wall frescoes here referencing the "ninth art": comics. The place is home to the Hergé Museum: inside a bold building, you can enter the universe of Tintin.
