Papalic Palace

Interesting
This sumptuous Flamboyant Gothic palace was designed in the 15C by George the Dalmatian for one of the richest families of Split (Papalic was a friend of the poet Marulic, who died in 1524). Nothing is missing in this palace, with its fine courtyard, well, carved outer staircase, loggia and finely sculpted main window. The building is now home to the town museum, which houses a collection of sculptures and old weapons, as well as an exhibition of the town as it was in the 19C.
