Square of the Radic Brothers

Interesting
Many people still refer to the square as the Fruit Square, because a huge fruit and vegetable market was held here up until the 1960s. Today Milesi Palace, on the north side, an 18C Baroque edifice, remains. You will also see Ivan Mestrovic's statue of the poet Marko Marulic (1450-1524), who was born in Split. Finally look out for the massive hexagonal Venetian tower (1435) which was part of the castel, also from 1435.
