Thalassa Municipal Museum
This museum dedicated to the sea is set up in a fine, modern building. Visitors will find out about the flora and fauna of the island's coasts, and get a peek at Cyprus's maritime history. The highlight of the visit is the reconstruction of a merchant boat that sank off the coast of Kyrenia around 300 BC. The original is preserved in Kyrenia's castle, in the Turkish part of the island.
