Prague National Museum

Interesting
Dominating the top of Wenceslas Square, the imposing National Museum was founded in 1885 to present the rich exhibits collected since the early 19C on the initiative of Count Kasparn von Sternberg, whose ambition was to create a museum dedicated to the science and history of Bohemia. The museum, which now shows signs of disrepair, is currently under restoration in an effort to restructure the building and make better use of its interior space.
