Observation N°1: the bicycle does indeed rule over this small kingdom and everything is done to ensure cyclists come first. It is well worth forgetting your car for a time and renting a bicycle to explore this low-lying territory, in particular the charming capital of Copenhagen, rich in museums, lively restaurants and stylish boutiques.
Afterwards, head off to explore the different islands which are full of pleasant surprises: the opulent castle of Frederiksborg, impressive chalk cliffs of Møn, and white sandy beaches of Sjælland; the sunny meadows and delightful harbour towns of Funen; unspoiled seaboard and extraordinary old town of Aarhus in Jutland.
The children won't forget their holidays soon either, from an outing on a drakkar at the Viking ship museum of Roskilde or Legoland theme park at Billund. Denmark will be adored by all!
