Copenhagen's Botanical Garden

Interesting
This superb garden was laid out around 1870 on land freed up when the fortifications were demolished. Dotted with huge greenhouses home to palms, cacti and orchids, shaded by tall trees and with a man-made lake, it belongs to the Natural History Museum. Two other museums are part of this same institution: the Zoological Museum (17m-long dinosaur and other skeletons) and the Geological Museum (a fragment of moon rock is on display).
