This fine arts museum, nestled in gardens overlooking a fjord, is dedicated to Danish painting, sculpture, decorative arts and design of the 20C. The collection of Danish furniture housed in the basement shows the evolutions in this domain since 1900 through works by famous draughtsmen such as Arne Jacobsen, Poul Kjærholm and Børge Mogensen, who decisively influenced international modern design. Temporary exhibitions illustrating the best in Danish furniture design are also organised.
