Kiasma Modern Art museum

Recommended
Right in Helsinki city centre, Kiasma was designed by Steven Holl and inaugurated in 1998. The exterior is made of a mix of metals (copper, zinc, titanium, aluminium, brass) and glass; the interior has five overlapping levels connected by lifts, stairways or footbridges. With a collection of over 8 000 works and counting, the museum focuses on post-1970s artistic output in Finland and neighbouring countries.
