Le Struthof

Recommended
In 1941, the Nazis established a concentration camp in Natzwiller where 10,000 to 12,000 deportees were killed. The European Centre of Deported Resistance Fighters, created on the site, illustrates the rise of fascism in Europe and provides an insight into the horror of the concentration camps. A former barracks bears witness to the daily life of the prisoners. You will also see the crematory oven, prison cells and gas chambers, not far from the improbable camp commander's house.
