Museum of the City: wine, river navigation and cooperage

Interesting
This museum, established in a handsome brick and half-timbered house, charts the cooperage activity of casks and kegs that played such a major role in the development of Bergerac, the evolution of winemaking over the centuries and the different types of vine-growers' homes. The museum is currently in the process of becoming a Centre of architecture and heritage of Bergerac, with the opening of new sections devoted to the town's urban development, the history of agriculture in Bergerac and river transport on the Dordogne river.
