Abbey church bell tower

Built in the 11C on a 12m/39ft-high rock, beneath which are huge caverns that can be visited, the bell tower of the abbey church of Brantôme is noteworthy because it is the oldest gabled Romanesque bell tower in the Limousin region. Three of its four floors feature semi-circular arched openings, which rest on columns with rusticated capitals.
