Banks of the Isle

A number of lovely houses can be found all along the banks of the Isle River: Maison Lambert, or the "house of columns" (needless to say why!) is a lovely Renaissance house. Maison Cayla, or the "Consul's house" was built on the ramparts in the 15C. The Maison de Lur dates back to the 16C. Also, beyond Avenue Daumesnil, a wood-panelled building is all that remains of a chapterhouse storeroom, nicknamed the Vieux Moulin.
