Salignac-Eyvigues
The Essential
Salignac-Eyvigues, a Périgord town, houses a medieval fortress which still belongs to the family of François de Salignac de La Mothe-Fénelon. The castle, built between the 12C and 17C, is flanked by ramparts which overlook the 13C Couvent des Croisiers (convent) and the neighbouring streets, among which Rue Sainte-Croix and its lovely stone-tiled roofs.
