Pessac
The Essential
Pessac, a town in the southwest suburbs of Bordeaux, is the site of one of the working-class cities designed by Le Corbusier between 1924-26: "Quartiers modernes Frugès". The town is also home to a mint where Euro coins, among others, are minted. The site is also the location of the National Centre for the Analysis of Coins and the European Technical and Scientific Centre, both of which are engaged in the battle against counterfeit Euro coins.
