The Essential
Interesting
The town owes much of its charm to its three rivers: the Midou and the Douze, which meet here to form the Midouze. Once a hub of trade in the Aquitaine region, Mont-de-Marsan has shed its past and is looking to the future. As soon as summer days roll in, the embankments come to life and music resounds in this flamenco heartland. Here, sculpture is to be found everywhere: in the streets, at the Musée Despiau-Wlérick and during the three-yearly Mont-de-Marsan Sculptures event.
